ABOUT IZZY BARNETT

Isabelle Barnett studies at Charles H. Cecil Studios in Florence, Italy but is originally from Leicestershire, England. She is a passionate oil painter dedicated to capturing the beauty of life through the traditional technique of sight size.

 

Her work reflects a deep appreciation for the world around her, and each piece tells a unique story. With a focus on light, colour, and emotion.

 

Her work is inspired by the old masters including, Van Dyke, John Singer Sargent, Velázquez.

Every portrait is painted in natural light, with the sitter next to the canvas, creating a connection between the herself and the model.
